Mikhail Tal Plays the Tarrasch Part II

This game is much more interesting than the last. It is much shorter too. It features a sacrifice that ends up winning very nicely.

Do not view my annotations as undisputable facts; I am rated 1300 USCF.

These blogs are mainly my efforts to understand games played by grandmasters. They may be helpful to you, too.

You should probably do a game in the modern main line for your last leg of the three part series

    7. cxd4- The d4 pawn is not backward because it isn't on an open file.  If Black can remove the e pawn, White's pawn will be isolated, but Black will have a backward pawn on e6

I didn't look at the move list or check anything, but I assume your analysis is correct.  A typical game in Tal Fashion.  You also explained that game very well.
