more interesting statements

Our problem is that we make the mistake of comparing ourselves with other people. You are not inferior or superior to any human being...you do not determine your success by comparing yourself to others, rather you determine your success by comparing your accomplishments to your capabilities. you are 'number one' when you do the best you can with what you have, every day.

A loving heart is the truest wisdom.

If a good face is a letter of recommendation, a good heart is a letter of credit.

To bring up a child in the way they should go, travel that way yourself once in a while.

True happiness consists not in the multitude of friends but in the worth and choice.

you can always tell a real friend; when you have made a fool of yourself they don't feel you have done a permanent job.

The antidote for fifty enemies is one friend.

True friendship is a plant of slow growth and must undergo and withstand the shocks of adversity before it is entitled to the appellation.

The better part of one's life consists of one's friendships.

I have learnt that to have a good friend is the purest of all God's gifts, for it is a love that has no exchange or payment.

You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you.

The only way to have a friend is to be one.

Fate chooses your relatives but you choose your friends.

Friendship consists in forgetting what one gives, and remembering what one receives.

If you want people to be glad to meet you, you must be glad to meet them - and show it.

Friendship improves happiness and abates misery by doubling our joy and dividing our grief.

Friendship is the only cement that will hold the world together.

Ah, true words.

If only everyone in the world would take these statements to heart and appreciate their meaning... there would be a lot less hardship.

Thanks for sharing.

Brilliant!! simply Brilliant!!

My Turn..Think right toward people

1. Learn to remember names. Inefficiency at this point may indicate that your interest is not sufficiently outgoing.

2. Be a comfortable person so there is no strain in being with you. Be an old-shoe, old hat kind of individual.

3. Acquire the quality of relaxed easy-going so that things do not ruffle you.

4. Don't be egotistical. Guard against the impression that you know it all.

5. Cultivate the quality of being interesting so people will get something of value from their association with you.

6. Study to get the "scratchy" elements out of your personality, even those of which you may be unconscious.

7. Sincerely attempt to heal, on an honest Christian basis, every mis- understanding you have had or now have. Drain off your grievances.

8. Practice liking people until you learn to do so genuinely.

9. Never miss an opportunity to say a word of congratulations upon anyone's achievement, or express sympathy in sorrow or dissappointment.

10. Give spiritual strength to people, and they will give genuine affection to you.
