Today I had two tough games.
The players were supposed to be worse than me but they had really good games so I wanted to share them. I don't now openings at all so I'm always getting bad results after several moves. Someone said I need to develop opening skills and what's my style? So I said that I just shift the pieces around until I get into trouble and than I just try to fix it. Sometimes its bad that I just loose quick, but other times like these two games, I alsmot but than I find a way to save the game. Anyway in this one, I got into trouble when I lost the queen. The evaluation jumped 20 points to favor the other side. What happened was that my queen was on b7 and I just had to eat the rook in the corner, but my mouse slipped!! So the queen goes to b8 and his rook ate my queen, I was about to resign but than just kept playing a few moves until I could see the damage it got pretty bad before I got the win:
In the second game I got a phone call and just moved some pieces around but it looked like I was just helping the enemy out. I tried to concentrate but it was hard, finally they hung up and I could try to save the game.
I was gonna resign after I lost my queen but rememberd the other game so I just kept playing, that's when I saw how to win the queen back.
So that's it. Thanks for playing through them, and hopefully you remember to never assume your enemy plays bad just because he has some rating that's lower than yours. He could be good but maybe he ends the games whenever he gets phone calls or whatever. So you never now so have fun and good lucks in chess!
