I am a chess.com greeter at the moment. I find it amazing how many members join every minute! I usually get about 2 games every minute. So if you think there are lots of other greeters as well, but there are literally 30 people joining every minute.

Also I find that a lot of new members play 1 or 2 moves then never come back. Not only that when I try and speak to them most of them just say ' OK, hurry up with the move.' All the greeters out there do you find this too?

i have had that happen as well luke, but i've also made a couple of great friends by been a greeter!

most people are keen to get beyond the unrated game when they join but i think it is still worth while to be a greeter for two reasons;- firstly your supporting this great site, and secondly you will once in a while meet someone worth it!
