Patience and perspective go hand in hand. When you are always focused on your own agendas and priorities, you will find yourself impatient much of the time because life rarely goes the way you want it to. If you take the larger perspective that life is a journey and not a straight line between two points, you will realize that what you do along the way is more important than getting there. This allows you to wait patiently and learn when things don't go your way, and to find ways to serve others on the detours of daily life.
