So I have been here on Chess.com for a couple of months now and am loving it.  My rating is stabilizing into an area that I can live with and proving my mediocrity. I'm ok with that as I am getting better and learning from some great coaches here. 

I have a goal to play in the Army (US) Chess Tournament but feel like I need to get significantly better first and will need to develop some OTB playing skills.  The problem is that I am in a remote location and there are no clubs within hours.

I'd like to get into a tournament somewhere in the midwest and spend a weekend getting my butt kicked.  Does anyone have info on upcoming OTB tourney's?  Minneapolis and Chicago are within four hours drive.
