re: how does the ranking work?

to continue... the score differential between games depends on who you play - ie the closer you are in ranking, the less the points swing when the result is made. BUT, what happens to the differential as your opponent moves up and down in points during your game as a result of his other ongoing games?? answers on a postcard please...

    my only point is: shouldn't you stick with an opponent's rating (and therefore the sccore differential) from the start of the game? Or IS that what it (the computer/website) actually does?

    Don't know what you mean by post crds, and the answer is, the amount interchanged goes up or down. Up for the lower, down for the higher.
