Recover lost post to be added in a forum

I have many times.
What I suggest to do here is how to best prevent this from happening.
1. When reading a new forum that you want to post in, first check the "track this forum topic" box at the bottom of the page on the right side. So you can go back to it either by checking your "topics I am tracking" or using your browser history.
2. Copy the post info you have typed in into the "post your reply box" at the bottom of every page into your word document, which I have done already here, in case of a power failure and/or you have it a wrong key and loose all the info. You may me able to find your post by backtracking with the left arrow (back) on the top bar of your window. When you copy to your document give it a name with the forum post name, post# and add a link to go back to by copying the http:// url at the top of the page of the forum to get back to it quickly.
3. Copy and paste into your Microsoft Word document or other word document, every 5 to 10 lines max. as not to loose the info.
I have pasted this already and saved it in my document as this is a new idea or point I want to make.
4. The method above works for posting text only. If you have pictures or a table of numbers or a matrix to post the method is different.
And if you need on how to proceed just ask as you must format first the way the text and table should be formatted for saving. I know only how to do it in Microsoft word, but if other people know on how to do it in other software, pleas do contribute.
