Rule clarification

Is there a rule in chess where after three repetitive moves by both players ie: both players move their pieces back and forth to the same square three times,  does that count as a draw?

Believe it or not, if at any time in the game the same position is reached three times it is a draw. The moves do not have to be consecutive.
