Sicilian Defense #3 - Queenside Castle?

Submitted by bronzefeet on Tue, 06/23/2009 at 4:35pm.

Is castling queenside with the Sicilian Defense sound?  You be the judge!  In this game I try for the Accelerated Dragon and discovered, to my amusement, my opponent and I both castled long!  This was a first for me with the Sicilian.  There also is a pawn rush, interesting tactics, and  black's king made the winning move.

Yeah, at move 27 my king was in check, so I couldn't very well checkmate him on that move.  Notice the move after this check he moves his queen back to d2 to prevent the checkmate on c2.
