Everyone knows, or else should know, that chess engines are the best chess players on the planet. But now computers are the best Jeopardy players as well?
This week on US television, a special edition of Jeopardy attempts to answer that very question.
Before the first commercial of last-night's episode, it looked like Watson, the Jeopardy-playing computer, could do no wrong. Then the carbon-based life forms (humans) started to gain ground. At final curtain, the score was a dead draw. Two more nights will determine the overall victor.
All hail, Silicon Overlords !
