The Beginnings

Entering this summer, I decided that I needed a new hobby. My roommate got me interested in chess, and here I am today. After about a month of playing, I think at least I have a grasp on the basics of the game, though I still make the obvious novice mistakes. I spent most of my time playing via the Facebook chess application powered by this site, playing against mostly other beginners. I registered on this site, but never took full advantage of it's features. I'm really excited to be playing live games, solving daily puzzles, and working at the tactics trainer. Hopefully I will continue to improve with help from this site!
