The BlackBerry 8350i & Mobile Chess

I just upgraded my old cell phone a Motorola i850 (still had an antenna on it) to a BlackBerry 8350i and so far, I have really enjoyed it. I adore my phone so please don't be an iphone snob and reply to me that I should've gone i-phone. The Direct Connect is the primary reason we stuck with Sprint-Nextel. . . . Anyway, I'm adding applications but so far, I've not been successful downloading chess. I would have loved to have signed up for that on this site but I was told after the fact that my phone was not 3G and so streaming would be more than difficult for it. That being said, although I can't play my chess friends, I could practice . . . anyone with the same smartphone as me have any advice? I have the Everything Data Plan. . . .and most everywhere I go there is a WiFi connection. . .

Thanks!

I could have gone for the Palm Pre -- because it is excellent for web surfing and one can have many tabs open all at once on the mobile which is actually I think, better than the iphone. We decided that the Direct Connect feature on the 8350i was worth it. . . . . I have a laptop so no reason to surf the Net everywhere, right?

I found a great chess program! So anyone out there with the same phone as I have -- it was as simple as downloading BlackBerry applications -- my program was just $5.00. Cool!

you should'a got an Iphone --

No, just kidding. I don't even have a cellphone and I've been trying to figure out what to get. So you're ahead of me -- I want to get something that will play the new pocket Fritz ch-base videos. So the Iphone is not even good enough for me.

    enjoy your phone!
