The Breakthrough in a Bishop Endgame

This morning I saw following interesting endgame position in a book

Of course, this is a better position for White. His dominate king position gives him a clear advantage. But will it be enough for a win?

                       1. White goes forward with his king side pawns

                                    2. The Bishop Improvement

                                     3. The Breakthrough

I suppose it takes player of Malakhov´s calibre just a minute to devise, calculate and eventually execute the winning plan.

very instructive - I once played a game of same-coloured bishops, which was drawn. My opponent overstretched in trying to find a win, and exchanged the bishops giving me the opposition in the endgame.

"getting the pawn to h6 first to prepare the breakthrough with f5 is a nice touch."

Yes, but the breakthrough does work only because black king and bishop are occupied with queen side tasks and can`t help on king side

The whole game was in a Sicilian book. I took the endgame and commented it on my own.
