The inner eye of a Dragoneer!

For the past ten days I was in Greece, happily enjoying my summer vacation!

... or not. Okay, yes, I did enjoy it, but the first few days I felt a bit unsettled, admittedly. Why? Well, actually, one of the reasons was because I hadn't brought any chess set with me! And just one was always more than enough for me, but we just couldn't find any to buy.
I decided to buy a big squared notebook and cut a chessboard and pieces from it. Don't worry, I had it all figured out, I would have easily textured the black squares with a pencil, and I would have written notation letters on penny-sized circles and used them as pieces. Laughing
But snap, no squared notebook to be found anywhere! Yell
I was getting more and more nervous, until one evening, my father said in a casual voice, "Let's do a blitz! e4!"
What? No board? And I'm playing Black!? Just kidding, never had problems with either colour! If you play regularly, you'll HAVE to end up with each of both colours on the most regular basis! Smile Fine.
c5.

And so went a great blitz correspondence blindfold game! Enjoy it!

Good question! We never recorded anything during the actual game, so it was like a superblindfold for us. Laughing We had to remember and replay the moves all by ourselves, in our minds' eyes! I wrote it down a few hours after it was over, with most of the variations that are presented here.
