The Latvian Gambit: Accepted, Bilguer & Leonhardt Variation Opening

This would be the third opening, I would learn, it was used by 1 of my opponent. The name itself sounds challenging :)

This was under a different title namely "The Latvian Counter Gambit Opening". It turns out the counter gambit is not the official/proper name, the counter just means a way to deal with the Latvian Gambit. The official name is the one stated above, there are two variations the Bilguer and the Leonhardt Variations.

    Really, I'll have to check that out, out of the three opening I'm learning right now this looks like the most complicated :)

    I am playing a tournament with this opening (Boog's Latvian Gambit). You should check out some of the games.  This opening is very dangerous for both black and white if not played carefully.  But it is fast paced and fun. : )
