-I was born in 1948,  my dad was one of the first people in the neighborhood  to have a TV set .  Of course it only had  a couple of channels but boy was that something even in black and white .   my favorite showI  was the howdy doody show  , talk about being dated .   anyway let me get to the point  I was in the best shape of my life at  47  and  true enough my body hurts most of the time now that I am 61 but I am  the same person I was when I was 21 . the  difference is what people see.  I have lots more experience, I've traveled quite a bit and I had met lots of people, I have friends for over 50 years ,now that's friendship. Been married for 37 years and I wouldn't turn back the clock, it just keeps getting better .think of the things I've seen from the black and white TV to a  54in flat screen and I can't count all the channels we have . getting old  is what you make it .  good luck I hope you get old some day it's not the end of the road it's the ride there that matters .  

You should have introduced them to the terrors of the 36 chambers. There heads would have exploded at the mere concept of "good" rap music.

Yep I know the feeling.  I was chastized bc I didnt know who the Jonas Bros are, still dont on general principle.  My music tastes stopped growing when I was 21 or 22.  I dont know if this is the appropriate topic for feeling old but it made me feel something unusual.  Try losing to a 10 yr old girl in an OTB tournament game.
