I know what you're thinking.  Ok, these are nice traps, but many of them are very well-known. As such, nobody's ever going to fall into them in real games.

Very nice article.

Also, in view of the philidor's legacy mate in Alexander Grischuk (2606) vs. Ruslan Ponomariov (2630), that's an excellent and dignified response to the poster who commented (in one of these traps-series by batgirl) to the effect that 'alas, too well known' etc. [that was re french defence traps iirc - and I should think philidor's legacy is better known than french defence traps... :) ]
