Up against Clevedon A

So it was time to head to Clevedon and attempt to give the A team a good thrashing. With a two player deficit. That said, we almost managed it, and had the game given below had the opposite result, we would have taken home a rare win in division one! Never mind eh.

So not a great start for the first game of the new term, but the chance to redeem myself presented itself pretty soon, in the form of a match against Bath A in two days time!

XD of course, it was actually a really wierd opening, but I modified it so that it didn't look so silly for the blog.

Yeah, but I didn't see itYou started your game way before I did.  I was busy faffing about with my black pieces.  When I looked over you were already on your Bc4 or so.

Therefore, I've never seen.  Presumably it was some bizarre d4 c5 e4 transposition.

    Tongue out

Plus you're quite hard on yourself really.  h4 was a mistake, but things like that happen.  I think 39. Qxc3+ was probably worth a shot, like you said.

    Anyway, bring on your win.
