What was I thinking?!?

Ugly, ugly, ugly - but an interesting study on a game where I should have simplified despite being down a pawn...comments and thoughts are always appreciated.

    Yeah, that looked good, but...the f5 to d5 move is lethal because my queen is positioned to get forked.

    22... Rd8

    23 Nf4  Rxe3

    24 Nd5 forking the queen, rook and king.

    Why did you move the queen on 22... Qa5?

    I would have 22... Rd8.  Then if 23 Nf4  reply Rxe3. You win a pawn (he might then trade rooks.

     

    Or I may have missed something and my plan is no better than yours.
