Winter Congress - Saturday

I was feeling quite good.  I'd beaten the highest grade in the major, and heading into a new day a full half a point ahead of those lazy half point bye players.  Things were looking good.  Then I started playing chess...

So I played a little poorly in the second round, and gave away weaknesses that white was able to take full advantage of.  That and blundering a bishop doesn't help.  Anyway, third round I was paired with someone graded similarly to me and I felt that this would be a simple win.  I was right, if only I had been able to find it.

What a day... Yell

Shame with that last game there. You basically had him all the way. So I guess instead of 27.Rxd7??, you just had to take the rook. Although, I can't quite see a clear win for white from there.

I like the constipated smiley at the end there. :)
