Worst loss?

I was just thinking about the quality of my games lately and I remembered what I consider to be my worst loss. This is somewhat embarrassing but this happened in a tournament play. Before I tell you what happened, here's a background to justify that mistake (at least that's what I told myself) Smile. I've been planning on playing in the National Open 2007 here in Las Vegas. I decided to play in the 3-day schedule (Fri, Sat, Sun) since I'd be off on Fri and I don't work on weekends so everything should be ok. Well as it turned out, my boss decided to schedule a meeting that Sat which REALLY ticked me off and needless to say just destroyed my interest since I'm gonna be down at least a point already since I'm gonna forfeit a game. There were other issues but I'm not gonna talk about it here. I suffered a loss prior to this game also. I was having a bad day.

So there I was playing against someone. I was a piece up but my king is under attack. After a few moves though, I should be able to consolidate my pieces and I'd be ok. I was moving along my merry way and then BAM! I got checkmated! I missed a ONE-MOVE MATE! I was shocked and at the same time just laughing at myself on the inside that I allowed that to happen. Seriously, it's just ridiculous that it happened! So what's your worst loss?

South Island chess championship, was playing a 10 year old kid, I watched him pick up his rook and put my queen under attack...I had 4 pawns racing to be queens...he calmly took my queen, I captured back...not one of my pawns made it to the eighth rank...
