Yay, Class A!

A pleasant surprise for me today as I checked the rating update on the CFC website. I was expecting to be around 1770 but in fact my rating has gone up 51 points to land squarely at 1800. I guess this means I'll be up for more money at the Canadian Open Championship if I do well and also I'll have to start another chapter of Silman's Endgame Course.

Hooray for me Laughing

Congrats Eric.  I suspect you'll have very few problems continuing your climb up the ratings ladder!

Congrats! I know the feeling of success of reaching a rating over 1800, having done so myself recently . It's not the higher entry fees that should worry you, but the additional work that will be required to maintain that elevated rating. Goood luck!
