Blindfold Game

I have a friend who isn't brilliant at chess, but she enjoys playing it. To even up the game, I play blindfolded (or without certain pieces) and she plays looking at the board, moving my pieces.

Here is the second game, which we played yesterday, the first a win to her. Of course, there is many obvious blunders in the game, please excuse them!

Ah ok, well good luck with it :)

I downloaded some free programmes from the internet to help, they are alright.

I agree.  I would love to enhance my visualisation, but there isn't a lot of good training out there to help much.  I think only practice with blindfold will actually help that.

I have done some visualisation training recently that has helped me improve a lot, but I still need 'work'.

Oh, really? How peculiar! Maybe that is one area of your game that you could work on I guess. Probably all of us could, I am hoping that it will help improve my visualisation because I don't look enough moves ahead Cool

I may be a little higher rated, but that doesn't mean a lot when it comes to blindfold -- I have always struggled with blindfold chess.  First maybe 10 moves are ok, but then I really start to lose track on where stuff is.

Top stuff!  I am always impressed with blindfold.  I wish I could do half as well as that!
