Gibbous Moon

Here's a lovely game played by Duras. His opponent decides to sacrifice the exchange to obtain two connected passed pawns midway through the middlegame. He then gives them up to begin an attack on Duras' kingside. Duras then launches a brilliant combination and gives up both of his rooks. In the end, he skewers his opponent's king and his queen, forcing Cohn to resign.

Here's a interesting quote I found on the Internet regarding the skewer: "While we have many problems involving forks and pins, here is a rare one involving the skewer. The skewer is the gibbous moon or tactics. People write about the full moon, crescent moon, and half moon-but almost never on the gibbous phase."
