Relaunching My Blog!!

I've noticed over the past few blog entries that my own choices for blogs on the current happenings in the world of chess have been attacked, as I have also been. People just don't like what I'm writing about, how I'm writing it, or just don't like me expressing my opinions, which is what blogging is...right? Opinions?? Well, some people (and you know who you are) don't seem to appreciate all the time it takes for me searching the web for chess news, writing and editing a blog entry, or doing all of the things necessary to write a decent blog.

I have some good news for you. I won't be discussing current chess events anymore *pausing for obvious applause from some people*. But what I will be doing is covering the recaps for the shows on that I have been doing for almost 2 years now.

Usually, I post the recaps in the Official Group forums or the public forums under the category but the problem is that they don't get read enough or commented on enough to bring more attention to and the passion that the Hosts and the people that watch it to full light.

Now it seems I have a lot of people reading what I write, and there are many more people who like what I do rather than hate it. The only hate I get is from people who just want to be, well, words I can't say here. I get thanked more than I get attacked believe me. I wasn't the former 2-Time #1 ranked Blogger on for nothing you know. Tongue out

Anyway, one blog will be covering the weekly 10-game simul "BIG Show" hosted by IM Danny Rensch and the other blog will be a recap of the topics discussed by Danny and his partner-in-crime IM David Pruess. My hope of doing this is to bring more light, attention and viewership to and the Official Group, which opened its doors back in December of 2010 after being asked by Danny himself to front this project. I will do all I can to help them out. The blogs are most likely to be back-to-back, but if there is a lot to write for the Pardon our Blunders recap, I'll skip a day so I can get my thoughts down better and try to convey what was said on the show.

I hope to those that do remain followers to me don't mind this change of pace.

   Have a good night everyone!

Well honestly, I've *never* been so criticized about my work or my blogs than I have been in the last couple of months. I don't know if it's me, the articles I'm covering and finding as chess news, or if people just don't like my opinions. Well the last one all I have to say is too bad.

I did the changeover from chess news to it needs support, attention and a bigger fan base for what Danny and David are trying to do with it. I'm still going to have my opinions obviously but they're not going to be as strong willed as they used to be.

For those of you who like it, fine, those that don't...don't read.

Yeah, don't take it to personally when people dislike your blog. Anonymity on the web makes people bolder. I always enjoy easy access to chess news personaly. Keep it up!

I think it's an excellent idea to move the recaps to the blog, but it would be nice if you occasionally put up topics you just want to talk about, regardless of whom likes it or doesn't.

For sure, the topics on Blunders are always good, and the BIG Show is always entertaining, too :)
